Clinica San Jose
Clinica San Jose is a joint mission of the Presentation Sisters of Aberdeen, South Dakota and San Francisco, California. This mission is located in Concepcion Tutuapa, San Marcos, Guatemala, Central America. It lies at nine thousand feet altitude and is in an area of Guatemala known as the western highlands.
The primary purpose of this ministry is to provide affordable primary health care to the 68,000 Mayan-Mam speaking people whom inhabit the 77 villages dotted across the mountainous region. Second to that purpose is to educate native staff in various skills of the clinic and eventually turn over the administration and direction of the clinic to professional nursing religious sisters from Guatemala.
If you are interested in supporting Clinica San Jose (Guatemala) their web site has a list of needs for which they seek partners to help their ministry.
